Private Colon Hydrotherapy in Fairfield, Iowa
Colon Hydrotherapy in Fairfield, Iowa
You Sit On The Toilet, but Not Enough Comes Out
When you feel constipated, bloated, and like more poop still needs to come out, you just want to feel emptied out, lighter, cleaned out, and comfortable again.
Maybe it has been several days since your last bowel movement. You sit, wait and strain, but little or nothing comes out.
Even when you do poop, you may still feel full, uncomfortable and unfinished, like your body has not completely emptied.
Iowa Colonics provides private, practitioner-guided colon hydrotherapy, also called a colonic or colonic irrigation. Warm, filtered water is introduced gradually to give hard, dry stool time to absorb water, soften and become easier for your body to release.
Your colonic takes place one-on-one with Joanna Ayala, Owner and Certified Colon Hydrotherapist. Joanna personally performs every session and adjusts the pace around what you feel.
Colonics start at $130. Packages of 3, 6, 9 and 12 are available.
Private room. Private bathroom. New single-use client kit. Aquanet APS-100. Joanna performs every colonic.

Does This Feel Familiar?
You Poop, but It Still Feels Like More Needs to Come Out
Constipation does not always mean that nothing comes out. Sometimes you go a little, but the relief never arrives. You leave the bathroom still feeling full, heavy and unfinished, like your body has more to release but cannot quite let it go.
You keep thinking, “There has to be more still in there.”
When this keeps happening, it can take over more of your day than anyone else realizes. You think about your stomach when you get dressed. You wonder when you will finally be able to go. You keep trying different things, hoping the next one will help, only to end up back in the same uncomfortable place.
That unfinished feeling is one of the reasons people come to Iowa Colonics. They are tired of waiting, straining and feeling backed up. They want to feel lighter, cleaned out and comfortable again.
- You poop, but still feel backed up: You are going, but the relief never really arrives. You still feel full, heavy, bloated or unfinished, like more stool still needs to come out.
- You finally go, but do not feel emptied: The bowel movement happened, but your body still feels incomplete. You keep thinking there has to be more still in there.
- Poop feels stuck and will not come out: Stool feels right there, low or difficult to pass. You sit, wait and strain, but little or nothing moves.
- Laxatives are not working: You already tried a laxative and you are still uncomfortable, still backed up or still unsure what to do next.
- You have not pooped in days: Several days have passed since your last complete bowel movement and you are wondering how long is too long.
- Why can't I poop?: You want to understand why bowel movements have become hard, dry, small, infrequent or difficult to pass.
- How to make yourself poop safely: You want practical things to try because you are tired of sitting there and waiting for something to happen.
Medical care comes first when symptoms are severe or concerning. Do not delay medical care to schedule a colonic. Severe or constant abdominal pain, significant or persistent vomiting or bleeding, inability to pass gas with concerning symptoms, fever with significant illness, fainting, chest pain, shortness of breath or concern for obstruction or perforation require medical evaluation first. Call 911 for an emergency.

How a Colonic Works
What Actually Happens During a Colonic
Colon hydrotherapy is also called a colonic or colonic irrigation. During the session, Joanna gradually introduces warm, filtered water. The water has time to contact, hydrate and soften stool. When your body releases, water, gas and stool leave through enclosed tubing while you remain on the table.
- Warm, filtered water is introduced slowly. Joanna gradually introduces warm, filtered water through the APS-100 closed setup while you remain in communication with her.
- The water hydrates and softens stool. Each fill gives the water time to contact stool. Hard, dry stool can absorb water, soften and become easier for your body to release.
- Your body releases water, gas, and stool through enclosed tubing. When your body releases, the water, gas and stool travel out through enclosed tubing while you remain on the table.
