A Little Poop Is Not the Same as Getting Enough Out

Feeling backed up does not always mean nothing is coming out. You may poop every day or pass only a few small, hard, dry pieces and still stand up feeling full, bloated, pressured, and unfinished.

It is not just about whether you poop. It is about how much is coming out and how you still feel afterward.

Warm Water Helps Hard, Dry Stool Soften

During a colonic, warm, filtered water is introduced slowly. Harder, drier stool can absorb water and begin to soften.

When your body releases, water, gas, and stool leave through enclosed tubing in Iowa Colonics' practitioner-guided closed setup.

There is no suction, and nothing is forcibly pulled out of your body.

The goal is not to force poop out. It is to give hard, dry stool water and time to soften, then let your body do the releasing.

15+ Years of Colonics, Including Des Moines-Area Providers

One Iowa Colonics client came to Joanna with more than 15 years of personal experience receiving colonics and said they had visited multiple colon hydrotherapists, including providers in the Des Moines area.

The client described Iowa Colonics as the best experience they had found in the state and specifically contrasted it with prior Des Moines-area sessions.

This is one individual client experience. Individual experiences vary.

A Very Personal Thing Should Feel Private

Iowa Colonics has a private treatment room and private changing area with its own bathroom.

You remain covered during your colonic, and a new single-use client kit is used for every appointment.

Water, poop, and gas travel through enclosed tubing in the practitioner-guided closed setup and remain contained inside the system.

Joanna performs every colonic, stays with you throughout the session, and adjusts the water and pace around what you feel. You can ask for less water, a release, a pause, or for the session to stop.
