Service Eligibility & Safety Requirements

Colon hydrotherapy is not appropriate for every person or every health situation. Review this section before purchasing or scheduling.

Do not purchase if a listed contraindication applies. If you are unsure whether a condition or health situation applies to you, call or text Iowa Colonics before purchasing.

Service Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to receive colon hydrotherapy at Iowa Colonics.

Iowa Colonics cannot provide colon hydrotherapy to anyone who weighs 350 pounds or more.

Contraindications

Do not purchase, schedule, or receive colon hydrotherapy if you are pregnant or currently have any of the following:

Digestive & Intestinal

• Active Crohn's disease
• Ulcerative colitis
• Active diverticulitis
• Bowel obstruction
• Bowel perforation
• Toxic megacolon
• Colon cancer or colorectal cancer

Ostomy, Rectal & Structural

• Ostomy or stoma, including colostomy or ileostomy
• Rectal prolapse
• Active rectal or anal fistula
• Active rectal bleeding
• Severe hemorrhoids
• Active anal fissure
• Active rectal infection
• Current abdominal hernia
• Current inguinal hernia

Surgery & Recent Procedures

• Recent abdominal, colon, rectal, or anal surgery or procedure
• Colonoscopy within the past six months
• Another rectal procedure within the past six months

Cardiovascular, Blood, Kidney & Fluid

• Abdominal aneurysm
• Severe anemia
• Serious or unstable heart disease
• Heart failure
• Another serious or unstable heart concern
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Serious kidney disease
• Renal insufficiency
• Another serious kidney concern
• Serious fluid-regulation concerns
• Serious electrolyte concerns

Healthcare Provider Restriction

Do not receive colon hydrotherapy if a licensed healthcare provider has advised you to avoid colon hydrotherapy.

Contact Iowa Colonics First

• You are breastfeeding.
• You have a history of a repaired abdominal or inguinal hernia and are unsure whether a hernia remains present.
• You have an open rectal wound or unexplained rectal pain.
• You have been diagnosed with IBD but are unsure of the specific diagnosis.
• You have kidney disease, kidney failure, impaired kidney function, dialysis, or another kidney concern and are unsure whether it falls within the contraindications above.
• You take a blood-thinning medication or have a bleeding or clotting disorder.
• You have a seizure or neurological history that raises a concern about receiving colon hydrotherapy.
• You have a history of fainting, significant dizziness, heart problems, blood-pressure problems, or aneurysm and are unsure whether a contraindication applies.
• You have received chemotherapy or radiation involving the abdominal or pelvic area within the past 12 months.
• You are under active medical care or monitoring for a condition that may affect whether colon hydrotherapy is appropriate.
• You have a current or recent history of an eating disorder, disordered eating, purging, or laxative misuse.
• You previously lost consciousness or required emergency medical care during a medical or wellness procedure and are concerned about receiving colon hydrotherapy.
• You have recently been hospitalized.
• You received a new diagnosis or experienced a significant health change.
• You had a significant medication change.
• You have another condition, symptom, surgery, procedure, bleeding concern, or health issue that makes you unsure whether colon hydrotherapy is appropriate.

Iowa Colonics can explain its service requirements and policies. Iowa Colonics does not diagnose medical conditions, evaluate medical severity, or provide medical clearance.

If You Are Sick, Reschedule

Do not attend a colon hydrotherapy appointment while you are acutely ill.

• Fever
• Active infection
• Contagious illness
• Active vomiting
• Acute diarrhea associated with illness
• Significant new or worsening symptoms
• Another acute condition that may make proceeding inappropriate

Do Not Delay Medical Care to Schedule a Colonic

Colon hydrotherapy is not a substitute for urgent or emergency medical care.

• Severe or constant abdominal pain
• Persistent or significant rectal bleeding
• Significant or persistent vomiting
• Severe abdominal distention
• Inability to pass gas when accompanied by concerning symptoms
• Chest pain
• Shortness of breath
• Fainting
• Severe dizziness
• Severe weakness
• Fever associated with significant illness
• Significant neurological symptoms
• Signs or concern for bowel obstruction or perforation
• Another severe, urgent, or concerning symptom

Purchase Terms

Acceptance Before Purchase: By checking the required box and completing your purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, weigh less than 350 pounds, reviewed the Service Eligibility & Safety Requirements above, are not pregnant, have no listed contraindication that currently applies, contacted Iowa Colonics first when clarification was required, provided complete and accurate information, and agree to these Purchase Terms.

Expiration

Single-session purchases and packages expire 365 days after the purchase date. All sessions must be completed before the expiration date. Unused or expired sessions are non-refundable except where another provision of these Purchase Terms or applicable law requires otherwise.

Purchase Ownership & Non-Transferability

Each single session or package is purchased for and assigned only to the named client who will receive the services. Purchases, sessions, package balances, and credits may not be transferred, reassigned, shared, divided, resold, gifted, exchanged, or redeemed by another person.

Scheduling

Purchasing a session or package does not reserve an appointment time. After checkout, use the scheduling link in your confirmation email to schedule your appointment. Package clients save the confirmation email and use the same scheduling link for remaining prepaid sessions.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

At least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled appointment time is required to cancel or reschedule without losing the session.

No-Shows

A no-show results in the single-session payment being retained or one session being deducted from the client's package. No refund, credit, or replacement session is provided.

Arrival & Lateness

Clients must arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. Contacting Iowa Colonics about lateness does not guarantee the appointment can proceed.

Refunds & Unused Purchases

Purchases are generally non-refundable except where these Purchase Terms or applicable law provide otherwise.

Contraindication Disclosed After Purchase

If Iowa Colonics permanently determines that it cannot provide purchased services because of a disclosed contraindication or safety concern, the unused portion of the purchase will be promptly refunded. If no sessions have been used, the full purchase amount will be refunded. If some package sessions have already been used, remaining unused sessions will be refunded at the actual per-session price paid under that package. Sessions already used will not be repriced.

If the issue requires only a temporary safety deferral rather than permanent discontinuation of services, the unused session or sessions will remain available and Iowa Colonics may extend the applicable expiration date as appropriate.

If Iowa Colonics Cancels

If Iowa Colonics cannot reschedule within a reasonable time or permanently cannot provide a purchased session or remaining sessions in a package, the applicable unused amount will be refunded.

After a Session Begins

No refund is ordinarily issued after a session has begun. This does not limit any refund required by applicable law or another express exception contained in these Purchase Terms.

Client Information & Safety

Iowa Colonics relies on clients to provide complete, accurate, and current information relevant to receiving services. Nothing in this section overrides the contraindication-refund provision above.

Individual Results

Iowa Colonics does not guarantee any specific result, benefit, release, symptom change, health change, or physical outcome. Every client and every session may be different.

Scheduling, Cancellation & Refund Summary

Based on: August 20, 2026 Purchase Terms. This is a summary, not a second set of terms.

• 24 hours: Give at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled appointment time.
• No-show: The payment is retained or one package session is deducted.
• 15 minutes: Arrive at least 15 minutes early.
• 365 days: Single sessions and packages expire 365 days after purchase.
• Named client: Sessions and packages cannot be transferred to another person.
• Safety refund: If a permanent contraindication prevents remaining service, the unused portion is refunded under the Purchase Terms above.

Iowa Colonics is a non-medical wellness service offering professional colon hydrotherapy in Fairfield, Iowa. Iowa Colonics is not a medical provider, clinic, or diagnostic practice.

Iowa Colonics does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, medical monitoring, medical advice, prescription guidance, evaluation of disease, management of medical conditions, or emergency medical care. Colon hydrotherapy is not a substitute for licensed medical care.

Iowa Colonics does not guarantee that any session or series of sessions will produce any particular result or benefit. Individual experiences vary.

If you experience severe or concerning symptoms, seek appropriate medical care. Call 911 when emergency care is needed. Do not delay seeking medical attention because of information obtained from Iowa Colonics or because you are considering or scheduling a colonic.
